I am getting in a K9 built in 2009...comes with a metal Sten mag...will the polymer Oly mags work in a K9 this old?

Q: does this ‘STEN’ magazine have the Olympic Arms ‘mod-block’ welded to it? like the lower one in this image?

Either way, yes. You may need a minor adjustment to the feed ramp to help reliability with the new poly mags, but they are 100% compatible. BTW, if your upper needs a feed ramp adjustment, that is being covered as a warranty issue by Oly.

The price looks like it's gone up on the adapter...

that adapter might work with an Olympic Arms, but it's not an Olympic Arms part ... this is an OA adapter, and I added the rubber sleeve over the toggle handle for comfort.

it's been fun for me, and a bit cheaper to shoot, than a standard AR15 configuration.

That's a Hahn Precision 9mm Sten adapter. They are pricey but worth it in my opinion.

I have a Hahn and 2 Oly Arms adapters. Both styles work well but I actually like the Hahn one better because it's a tighter fit and loads from the top of the lower receiver so it can't accidentally fall out if the AR mag release is hit.

I've seen them at the Gun Shows, but have never tried one out; I use the SNS Mag-Well Blocks

Close-up w/Sten Mag and MWB-1 blocks.
