I think it's a gimmick over priced...

I've seen other stuff on these new bullet designs. It certainly looks pretty sweet! But I'm with shermanator regarding price. If it cost the same as any other personal defense round, I would consider it after it has been proven effective. But i wouldn't pay extra for some fancy stuff like that when what I have is just fine.

I saw this? or something simular to it at SHOT Show, I didn't stop at the booth, and past it off as an expensive gimmick ...

I carry 9mm for duty and self defense. I use Cor bon dpx . What do you guys use? I will not dismiss this new round has a gimmick just yet, I have started a lot of research on this round. If this product is true as too what it can do the fragmentation is impressive. Yes pricey, but if it can do what it says, is there a price tag on solid self defense round? Like all my defense rounds I practice with them too know, how proficient I will be with it. But I am not out on the range just blowing through them. So price in my mind not a factor just results! Just my 2 cents.

the penetration and yaw shown on these videos is pretty serious!

I have Ranger HP's in my 40.

9mm's have 158 gr fmj

12 gauge has Hornady blue hull OOB's

etc etc etc

Personally, I would like to test a few of these, but at $2.50 a pop, I'm not sure that I realistically gain anything over what I'm already using. I know these have a different design, but they nevertheless seem to be based in thought in my mind building upon old WW2 dum dums (you can google it yourself if you don't know what I'm talking about)

Looks like the "fragments" only get about 5 inches of penetration judging by the gel tests I saw, and unless you get a straight on shot, may not be enough.

Well there goes any hope of seeing it affordably priced.

I don't believe they were every actually banned. Winchester just stopped making them due to all the bad press.
