Anyone else collect printed memorabilia?

Postby John A. » Sat Dec 07, 2013 7:32 pm

Admittedly, I don't have a very large collection of printed ammunition advertising or very old ammunition or the likes, but every now and then, I get a pleasant surprise by my family or my friends.

And today, I was gifted a couple of NOT FOR RESALE Federal ammunition boxes. So obviously, I expect there's not many of the plain white contract boxes floating around. Most of them are tossed as soon as the box is empty.

A few weeks ago, one of the friends that I grew up with, his Dad past away and the family gave me an old (late 80''s, early 90's) full box of Winchester SuperX 16 gauge shells.

Needless to say, I don't plan to ever use that box of shells, but they still have a place in my collection and I can remember buying shells in these boxes. But I'm going to hang onto them mostly for remembering Roy.

Back in early spring, my oldest son had been working for a company that had filled a contract to make the point of sale display boxes for Winchester 22 ammo and he gave me a few uncut proof sheets. I know there's a lot of the display boxes out there, but probably not too many uncut sheets. :thumbs up:

And I think last for now, when we were cleaning out my late Father-In-Laws basement, I came across an Outers patch cleaning box that I've hung onto. A few of the patches have been used, but the box is nearly full. I don't know the exact age of it, but there is no laser scanner UPC on it that is so common these days.
