I have a lathe, and did some out of aluminum. The only problem with them is they wont stay tight on the barrel, they will shoot off. I might have one laying around, I'll take a look for it.

IIRC, it's a 1:7 Colt with a neutered off bayonet lug; I picked up the 'barrel assembly' i.e. everything forward of the receiver, including the delta ring assembly, a few years ago; and I originally built is as an A2 configuration; but got a wild-hair to do the A1 retro'ish config ... so there ya go, and I need to install the A1 flash-hider one of these days :D

Well, I WAS going to show my GI-16 with the small round handguard and A1 style pistol grip without the finger bump but somebody got her face in the way. Sheesh!

Growing your own belt Tslebebull :P A friend of mine had a 9' burmese python. Malachi was always disappearing, usually to be found curled up on top of the hot water heater.

Dixie is about the same size as your friends Burmese and I have had her since she was two days old. Boas (like Dixie) are new world snakes and pythons are old world snakes. Dixie is more appropriate in a retro Grenada photo shoot than retro Cambodia.
