I picked up this Gravity® Hyper-Curve™ Longboard off Craigslist a couple of weeks ago; I got it as a Birthday present to myself ... now I just need to learn how to ride it ...

Board: Gravity® HC47 (47in. Hyper-Carve) Longboard
Trucks: RII 150mm
Wheels: White 70mm - 77A (SOFT)
Bearings: ABEC 5 Rated

Looks like an emergency room visit to me.

All jokes aside, it is a nice looking skateboard. But I'd break myself into a thousand pieces with one of those.

thanks, it's a very nice board indeed; and the gal I bought it from was just getting outta the Army, and listed (2) longboards up on Craigslist, and she really took care of her boards, as there wasn't a mark one on the board; just some dust from being in storage for a bit.

I took the board out this past weekend, and found a semi-flat empty parking lot to play on ... and at the end of the month, I'm planning to get on this Interurban Trail, and see how it goes.

Ok this may end up a long post. Love the board. I helped my son build a valve cover for a county wide school competition a few years ago. I used inline skate wheels and moded the bearings. I took them out of the wheels and removed the dust covers from the sides. I used brake clean to remove the thick bearing grease from the bearings. I then lubed the bearings with Speed and the improvement was incredible. I reinstalled the dust covers and adjusted the bearing torque preload on the bearings. I don't know how many covers where in the competition but his won all the races. Corrosion X Is some very good stuff and I use it daily. Check out there web site. http://www.corrosionx.com/speedx.html

nope I'm not ... and I've heard of guys taking the bearing seal covers off of their wheels too, and using other lubricants on them; I'll check out the link you posted; sounds like a pretty good product.

Check with George at Weapon Shield. He's got all sort od lubes for different industries, and I'm sure one of them will fir the bill better than anything else you can get if you end up going that direction.

yup I'll do that ... but for right now, I'm not really interested in playing with the bearings; I just want to get more proficient at riding the board :D

When I was 16 I rode skateboards. . .

At 54 and 340lbs I refuse to now. While it is in my heart to tell GM to act his age, I applaud his desire to act young!

Skate on GM, but don't whine when you bust your rear-end for good!

Edit: I love the profanity filter! I am cracking up!
