Olympic Arms sale / closing updates?

Postby CuriousGeorge » Sun Mar 12, 2017 2:39 am

Has anyone learned any more about Olympic Arms regarding the sale or closure of the business?
They created a lot of what other 'manufacturers' take for granted... hate to see that end with this.

If they sold, I only hope their buyer continues to focus on quality and innovation.
I'd like to see more done with the pistol calibers, magazines to feed them, etc.

From what I gather, a sale is pending. But could take months.

And then throw in ATF lag time issuing manufacturers licensing, etc.

It takes time to cross all your eyes and dot your T's

more rumors from the Arfcom WA Hometown Forum ... we shall see.

from what I heard recently, the reason behind there closure is a "Tax Issue" as they haven't been paying taxes for a while; was also told the business was sold to pay off their tax debt and that a new owner maybe reopening the business

Today was April 12th, and I had a pretty busy workday for a guy who thought he'd be in free fall after 28 Feb. There is little new hard info to go on, but we're running pretty much business-as-usual, taking orders and building what we are able. I guess the absolute drop-dead date is sometime in June, when the licensing/insurance is due, a chunk of money-- so we'll see what happens in the meantime. In the meantime there are a few gun-show specials on the wall-- I'll try not to be so long between posts, but I have a hell of a lot on my plate, so bear with me please. The Lord bless us and keep us--
